Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.

The author

Best-selling children's author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

An official for the publisher said: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the move was made after an investigation into reports of questionable actions directed at young women.

The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Several of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.

He has published more than 40 books combined, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.

From Screen to Page

His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.

This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
